Single Face
Single face corrugated fiberboard is made by gluing a flat plain cardboard sheet of to a sheet of corrugating material which has passed through a "single facer" which formed it into a series of arches. Single face corrugated fiberboard, although used principally for wrapping and for interior packing, is also widely used as a decorative material in window and point of purchase displays. Glass articles and other fragile items are often enclosed in this fiberboard before being packed in a box. Plain corrugated cardboard sheets are also used quite extensively by retail stores for wrapping merchandise for local delivery, and by household goods movers.
